"The Spirit of New Orleans" Doll by the Alexander Doll Company

The effects of Hurricane Katrina can still be painfully felt, although it has been longer than nine months since this horrific natural disaster occurred. Did you know that this was the costliest hurricane ever to hit the US, and damage is estimated at $75 billion dollars? More than 500,000 children were torn from the place they once called home and relocated to new and strange surroundings. Many New Orleans families were placed in new residences throughout Texas, to include Austin (and Pflugerville, Texas, where Beacon's Glow Collectibles is located).

Beacon's Glow Collectibles has been honored to be chosen as one of the Alexander Doll Company's retailers located in the South that can offer this very special "The Spirit of New Orleans" doll. This incredible 8" Wendy doll comes dressed in an exquisite purple Mardi Gras gown trimmed in gold and green. She holds a whimsical Mardi Gras gold mask. (A portion of this sale of this doll will be contributed to the K.I.D.S. Foundation which assists in providing clothing, shoes, toys, and books to those people in need, specifically Katrina victims at this time).

We have already ordered "The Spirit of New Orleans" and we are anxious to receive her. If you are interested in obtaining one of these very special dolls, please don't hesitate to contact us.

We all hope that you and yours have a safe and wonderful Fourth of July Holiday!!!
