Steiff's Wicked Witch of the West Teddy Bear (EAN 682407) Has Finally Arrived

After a very long wait, we are pleased to announce that Steiff's version of the Wizard of Oz' Wicked Witch of the West Teddy Bear has finally arrived.  This mohair bear is made from the finest green Schulte mohair and wears the classic black witche's outfit.

The "Wizard of Oz" still remains one of the most beloved films of all time and this year marks the 75th anniversary of the movie.  (Wicked Witch of the West Bear Steiff EAN 682407) wears a commemorative 75th anniversary medallion around her neck.

This limited edition Steiff North American Exclusive comes from an edition size of 1939 pieces.

Brand New! Jim Shore Wizard of Oz Figurines

Jim Shore's long-awaited collection of brand new Jim Shore Wizard of Oz figurines arrived today.

Jim's new collection includes the following:

- 2 new Dorothy with Toto figurines (1 is a Sepia color and is very nice.  It is the same as the coloring in the opening sequence of the Wizard of Oz movie).

Steiff's Fall Introduction - Toto EAN 682261 from "The Wizard of Oz"

Steiff is introducing Dorothy's sidekick from 'The Wizard of Oz' this Fall.  Toto EAN 682261 will be a perfect match to go with Dorothy, EAN 681998.  He is 3-3/4 inches tall and made out of the finest Schulte mohair.  His wooden basket is also included with the classic checkered kerchief. Toto is an exclusive edition made especially for the UK, US, and Ireland.

2012 Marks the 75th Anniversary of "Gone with the Wind" and "The Wizard of Oz"

Isn't it amazing that both movies, "Gone With the Wind" and "The Wizard of Oz" have had such lasting staying power over the years?  It is hard to believe that this year marks the 75th anniversary of both of these incredible movies.

To commemorate this event, there are several manufacturers who have either already introduced or will be introducing special dolls and bears to showcase both of these movies.  For example, Adora Dolls, Marie Osmond Dolls, Madame Alexander Dolls, and Steiff are some of those companies who have taken note of these anniversaries by producing special character dolls and bears from both of these movies.

Pictured above is Steiff's Dorothy The Wizard of Oz Bear EAN 681998 who came out last year.  We have gotten word from Steiff that this Fall they will be introducing a Toto dog complete in basket that looks just adorable.  This are already on order and we are looking forward to their arrival.

Madame Alexander Dolls for Halloween

Madame Alexander Dolls has introduced several really nice Halloween dolls for this year. They range from the cute Wendy doll to the more elaborately dressed 10-inch Cissette dolls.

The Alexander Doll Company continues to add several holiday dolls to their 'Holidays and Special Occasions' line and these dolls continue to be very popular with collectors.
