Boyds Bears - The Wellingtons are Here

We were quite surprised to receive in very recently several of Boyds Bears Fashion Family Collections. It was our understanding from Enesco, distributors of Boyds Bears, that these brand new collections would not be arriving until early 2010.

We were very impressed with the Wellington Collection. As Boyds puts it "The Classiest Bears in Town!"

This collection includes 6 different bears ranging in size from 10 inches to an incredible 30 inch bear named Chandler Wellington. Each bear wears rich colors and textures of shimmering satins and velvety velours that were inspired by the vibrant shades of autumn. Hand-crafted accessories add a touch of class to each elegant piece.

Marie Osmond Material Girls Tiny Tots are In

Late last night we received in a shipment from Marie Osmond Dolls that contained the 4 brand new Material Girls Tiny Tots. They are all so adorable that we cannot decide which one is our favorite.

These 4 Material Girl Tiny Tots include:

2. Organza Tiny Tot
3. Cotton Ginny Tiny Tot
4. Velvet Tiny Tot (Pictured Left)

This Marie Osmond Doll Collection was inspired by her mother, Olive. Her saying was "She who dies with the most fabric, wins!"

Each Material Girl Tiny Tot has been sculpted by the same sculptor who did the full-sized models - Karen Scott.

We were so pleased that they arrived in time for ordering for the Christmas holidays. All Material Girl porcelain Tiny Tot dolls are priced at $49.95.

What a great idea for Steiff Bears

We were on the phone with a customer this morning and we were trying to navigate the Steiff Bears subcategories on the Beacons Glow Collectibles site. Confusing and difficult to navigate to say the least - we were both having trouble finding what we were looking for. Her suggestion was to create an "All Steiff" category and list every Steiff item we have available in this category. What an excellent idea. . .

Steiff collectors can immediately identify the difference in numbers between Steiff North American Exclusives and Steiff Worldwide Limited editions. But oftentimes, it is sometimes difficult to differentiate between the two.

Creating this new category remedies this issue by allowing potential customers to scan each page (or select "View All") to see all Steiff items currently in stock.

Jim Shore Figurines Fabrics of Faith

Jim Shore Figurines has recently introduced three wonderful angels and this new collection is called "Fabrics of Faith". This angel collection serves as a reminder of faith. Each angel features a fabric skirt with special embroidery details. The detail on each and every angel in this collection is incredible.

This new Jim Shore Collection includes:

1. Angel of Love (with a heart pattern skirt)
2. Angel of Hope (with a star pattern skirt)
3. Angel of Friendship (with a flower pattern skirt)

Tne Enduring Popularity of Snoopy

Have you noticed that many stores this holiday season have several Snoopy-themed Christmas decorating items? The enduring popularity of the late Charles M. Schulz beagle character, Snoopy, is quite amazing. This ever-popular character made his debut in a comic strip on October 4, 1950.

Both Steiff Bears and Madame Alexander Dolls have very special items celebrating Snoopy this year.

Madame Alexander Winnie the Pooh Dolls

Better late than never as they say - we were expecting in both the "P is for Pooh" and "T is for Tigger" Madame Alexander Dolls back in June but we just recently received them in.

As is always the case with Madame Alexander Dolls, the quality and workmanship is superb in both of these dolls.

P is for Pooh is an 8-inch Wendy doll with dark hair and blue eyes and wears a very colorful pant set. An adorable miniature plush Winnie the Pooh is included with this doll.

T is for Tigger is a blond-haired, blued eyed boy doll that is also 8 inches tall. He wears a cute pair of tan cargo pants and a hooded sweatshirt. A miniature plush Tigger comes with this set.

For those of you who were waiting for the Jack Loves Toy Story, we are sorry to disappoint you but the Alexander Doll Company ran into some manufacturing issues with this doll. Therefore, this doll will not be produced but hopefully things will be straightened out next year and production will resume.
