2017 Charlie Bear Collection

We are very excited to announce that the 2017 Charlie Bear Collection will officially be debuted on Friday, February 3rd.

Just have to say that this year's collection is amazing!  We are so privileged to have the opportunity to get a sneak peek since we are a Charlie Bear US retailer.

2016 Charlie Bears Collection - Another Amazing Year!

We are so excited to be able to introduce the latest and greatest collection by Charlie Bears.  Their 2016 Collection is just amazing.  (We never thought that the Bearhouse could beat the 2015 Anniversary Collection but they sure did).

The new collection is comprised of over 150 teddy bears and critters ranging from a kangaroo to their first plush owl.  There sure is something for everyone in this collection.

Can't wait to see what our allocation numbers are as there are several sets this year that have a very limited edition of 200 worldwide.  We sure hope that there is enough to go around and are hoping for at least one of each very special set.  There is the "Goldilocks and the Three Bears Set" (Brenda's personal favorite), The Three Little Pigs and Huff Puff Set, and Red Riding Hood and Masquerade (aka The Big Bad Wolf).

Charlie Bears on QVC UK This Week

Just finished watching the first of four Charlie Bear shows on QVC UK.  We were hoping to see Charlie (Charlotte Morris) join her husband, Will, but unfortunately it never happened.  Keeping our fingers crossed that she will make an appearance on one of their upcoming shows.  We just love watching Will but Charlie brings an additional perspective to the creation of these incredible collectible teddy bears. Do they make a terrific couple or what?

William made many comments that we feel are worth sharing to further embrace the Charlie Bears brand:

1. 2015 will mark Charlie Bears tenth anniversary.
2. For those of you who are not familiar with the term "Plumo", this is a Charlie Bears-specific phrase when referring to a teddy bear who has mohair on both his ears and face, and the rest of him is plush material.
3. It was fun to learn some Christmas meal favorites from the UK which are definitely different than those traditional fixings here in the US (i.e., parsnip, mince pie, and brussel sprouts).
4. The Charlie Bears "Best Friends Club" now boasts more than 4000 members worldwide.
5. Charlie Bears tends to stay away from creating Christmas themed bears as they feel that these wonderful teddybears should be out on display all year.
6. All Charlie Bear Bearhouse bears (which are non-jointed bears and animals) are made of plush and are named after famous castles and landmarks. (Drogo (pictured above) was a Bearhouse animal presented on the show).
7. Mohair bears are intended for the discerning collector 14 years old and above, and are considered adult collectibles.
8. Mrs. Lovely was named after Will's sister.  (She actually works for Charlie Bears in sales and marketing in Europe).
9. The term 'tickly toes' refers to a bear paw pad that has stitching for the toes that is quite obvious.
10. Many times Charlie Bears get their names from Charlie Bear collectors. (On this show, Rowena was presented and she was named after a collector).  An adorable bear by the way!
11. Charlie Bears never come out of retirement.  Once they are retired, that is it.  (On occasion, Will did mention that they will bring back a smaller version but this is not commonplace).

Absolutely loved the Brussel bear that was presented during this show.  His face was just amazing!

Please watch the QVC schedule to see when Charlie Bears will once again present on QVC UK.  (In Texas, there is a 6 hour difference from the UK.  So for example if the show is on 2-3 pm UK time, it would be 8 am CST).

Charlie Bears 2013 Part 2 Mohair Collection Shipping Schedule

Charlie Bears has done it again!  Another spectacular collection of mohair bears and such was recently revealed.  We are referring to this as the "Charlie Bears 2013 Part 2 Mohair Collection".

Anyway, please keep in mind that one should allow 12 months for all mohair teddy bears from this collection to ship.  And both Minimos and Minimo keyrings will ship out in their entirety in 24 months.

Well worth the wait, that is for sure. . .

We should be receiving our allocation numbers from the Charlie Bears Bearhouse any day now.  If you are interested in any special item from this collection, please feel free to contact us.  We will take your information and contact you immediately after receipt of the Charlie Bear.

Charlie Bears on QVC UK

Did you get to watch Charlie Bears (William and Charlotte (aka Charlie) on QVC UK last week?  Even though the show does not air on US television, one can watch it on their computer.

The owner of Beacon's Glow Collectibles got the opportunity to watch all except one of the shows and she thoroughly enjoyed it.

Will and Charlie make the most adorable couple as can be seen by the image above.

Here are some interesting tidbits mentioned during the shows:

- Charlie and Will's first date was at a Fish and Chips restaurant.  William took Charlie to the best Fish and Chips restaurant in the UK.  To celebrate their first date, Charlie Bears produced a wonderful trio of teddybears that each represent part of that first dinner together.  The bears are named Fish, Chips, and Mushy Peas.  Each has a unique charm that hangs around their neck.  Fish has a fish trinket, Chips a fish and chips chip, and Mushy Pea a Fish and Chips fork. 

William mentioned that there are currently 200 Charlie Bear stockists worldwide.  They are not able to let any more retailers become stockists as there are not enough Charlie Bears to go around as it is.  They will never produce a bear in a limited edition of more than 500 pieces.

William designs all of the Charlie Bear catalogs and Charlie was very pleased that her 2013 Charlie Bear was featured on the front.  She is an incredible bear and Beacon's Glow Collectibles should be receiving their allocation of these bears in the next week or two.

Charlie Bears began in 2005 and currently stockists span 30 countries.

Charlie had mentioned that she will be producing a catalog of all Charlie Bear plush bears ever produced and it should be ready in November of 2013.  We are definitely looking forward to that.

They have introduced a new line of bears called the 'Bearhouse Collection".  These bears are all 11-1/2 inches seated and have been named after famous British places and castles.  This first collection represents the first 12 produced.  Already, these bears have been quite popular.  The difference between a regular Charlie Bear and a Bearhouse Bear is that a Bearhouse bear is unjointed and is suitable for ages 18 months and up.

Charlie Bears is coming out with some adorable wooden and canvas cloth deck chairs to display your teddy bears (or dolls) in,  They were modelled after some high-end deck chairs from cruise liners.  Beacon's Glow Collectibles will also be carrying these deck chairs so please stay tuned.

Mohair Charlie Bears (mostly designed by Isabelle Lee) are appropriate for ages 14 and above.  These are the true collectible Charlie Bears, and they are made of mohair or alpaca which increases the cost of each teddy bear.

William mentioned that his grandmother's name is Brenda, and they will definitely be making a 'Brenda' Charlie Bear in the future.  Brenda, owner of Beacon's Glow Collectibles was pleased to hear this.

More Charlie Bears Are Here!

We are always so excited to let our customers (and potential customers) know when we have received in a shipment of Charlie Bears. 

Today we received in a nice selection of bag buddies, plush bears and mohair teddy bears and minimo bears.

Bag Buddies are JoBo and Tiny.

Plush Charlie bears are Chuckles, Fuddy, Mischief, Molly, Noodle, Thingy-ma-jog, and Wostit for a total of 7 plush bears.

Four Isabelle mohair bears arrived to include Collywobble, Doolittle, Minty, and Tigerlilly.

Bella the cat and Cora the kitty cat were the two Minimo Charlie Bears that arrived in today's shipment.

As is always the case, we expect that these Charlie Bears will be ordered by customers rather quickly.

2012 Part 2 Plush Charlie Bears Are In

We were very pleased to receive in 7 brand-new plush Charlie Bears from their 2012 Part 2 Collection.  It looks like they are getting their production issues from the flooding last year under control now, so hopefully, the mohair teddy bears from this collection will be arriving in the very near future.

The names of the 7 new plush teddy bears are as follows:

1.  Firework
2.  Inca
3.  Lawrence
4.  Milly
5.  Mischief
6.  Savoury Pudding (our personal favorite)
7.  Victoria

For the most part, these teddybears are very colorful and several have the magnetic paws which allows their arms to be posed in many ways.

New Shipment of Charlie Bears Have Arrived

"Good things come to those who wait" - this is a perfect phrase after receiving in a new shipment of Charlie Bears.  Today we got in several plush and mohair Charlie Bears and all that have not been previously spoken for are on the site. (The link above accesses the newest additions to our Charlie Bear inventory).

Included in this shipment are the 2012 Charlie as well as the William V - both are as stunning as ever. (Pictured left is Diddles who is a Minimo Charlie Bear.  Isn't he the cutest little puppy dog?)

And as mentioned in a previous blog post, we will be revealing further details about the 2012 Part 2 Collection of Charlie Bears on August 24.

Charlie Bears Shipment has Arrived!

Charlie Bears are definitely a perfect example of "Good things come to those who wait". We got in a large shipment of Charlie Bears late yesterday and they are a fantastic bunch as always. There are many Minimo bears, plush bears, and mohair bears.

 

 All of the Isabelle Mohair Charlie Bears that did arrive are already spoken for with the exception of a couple of Sherbert Lemon bears. As you can see, she is one fantastic mohair teddy bear! We might recommend snatching her up quickly as these bears do not stay on the shelves very long. . .

Charlie Bear Minimos Have Arrived

Charlie Bears Minimos (miniature mohair) teddy bears arrived yesterday via International UPS and what a nice surprise on a Saturday!

Charlie Bears from 4 different collections arrived in very small quantities, but nonetheless, we were very pleased to receive them.

Or go to the "Charlie Bears" category, and select the "Charlie Bears Isabelle Mohair Teddies" subcategory and select "Newest" from the drop-down menu.

There are so many adorable minimo bears to choose from but we believe that our favorite is "Yorkshire Pud". He is so much cuter in person than in his photo and his wild mohair just puts a smile on your face when you take a look at him. Just irresistable. . . .

Charlie Bears - What is there not to love?

Pleased to let all of you know that we just got in over the last several days several plush Charlie Bears as well as two mohair Minimo teddybears.

The plush teddy bears range in size from 14-1/2 inches up to 21 inches in size. And there are many different colored bears to choose from.

Who does this bear remind you of on the left? His name is Cody but he is a wonderful plush version of the very popular Chocolate Fondue.

The two Minimo bears that have arrived are Minnie, an adorable pink mohair bear, and Tito, a multi-colored mohair bear.

And we are also pleased that there is still plenty of time left to order any of these Charlie Bears in time for Christmas!
