Update on Charlie Bears Isabelle Collection for 2011

We here at Beacon's Glow Collectibles got the opportunity to chat with Lucy, sister of Charlie Bears creator, yesterday about why there was the long delay in receiving in our shipment of Mohair Limited Edition bears that were ordered last August. (As you know, many of you are patiently waiting for their arrival. . . )

Anyway, because Charlie Bears are handmade in the Phillipines, production was abruptly halted because of the horrific and disasterous flooding late last year. (It is important to note that Charlie Bears donated a substantial amount of monetary aid to the Phillipines for food and medical aid).

Lucy had mentioned that we should start to expect seeing these adorable Charlie Bears arrive in 4 to 6 weeks. That would put their arrival date sometime in February.

Thank you for your understanding and for your patience. We will contact each and every one of you who have asked for us to put to the side one or more of these special teddy bears when they finally arrive.

2012 Adora Dolls Have Arrived!

We here at Beacon's Glow Collectibles are pleased to announct that most of the 2012 Adora Dolls Collection has already arrived. We were as anxious to receive in this new collection as our doll collectors.

A total of 16 new Adora Dolls arrived today, in addition to restocking some of last year's favorites.

Two new Asian dolls, several brunettes, and three redheads are included in this collection, as well as the classic blond-haired, blue eyed little beauties.

Jim Shore Heartwood Creek Figurines Celebrating 10 Years!

Happy New Year! We sincerely hope that all of you had a memorable holiday season.

2012 marks the 10th Anniversary of Jim Shore Figurines Heartwood Creek Collection. Jim's unmistakable handcrafted style captures the true essence of both American and European folk art through traditional themes and motifs. As is always the case, each Jim Shore Figurine features a variety of quilting patterns and oftentimes has his signature rosmalling evident.

Jim says that his inspiration comes from a recollection of childhood memories as well as a deep appreciation of handcrafted quilt patterns and textures.

To celebrate Jim's 10th Anniversary he is introducing many new releases that pay tribute to the origin of the Heartwood Creek Collection. (Pictured above is one of these Tribute Santas named "Classic Santa with Birds". How many of you remember the original?

So far, we have gotten a sneak peek at 6 Jim Shore Santa figurines that will be new releases modelled after their original sculpts. As time goes on, we are sure that Jim will introduce several more of these special anniversary pieces through Enesco. Please stay tuned!
